Waya from the previous pencil drawing colored.


This piece was a scary jump into the unknown. I've used watercolors minimally in my work just as a bottom layer for colored pencil or small drawings with no regard to detail. This is my first real 'Artist' type attempt with watercolor (or traditional media paint in general). I can no longer say I'm not a painter.

It's also highly amusing to me just how much more friendly she looks colored. Its the same drawing transferred over from the graphite original.

Final for my Scientific Illustration class.

22x30 on 300lb weight Hot press watercolor paper.
Prints will be available if anyone's interested.
Original is currently not for sale

Waya lives at Wolf Creek Habitat and Rescue in Southern Indiana.
The Artwork belongs to me, it is not for reuse, resale, or use without my permission. The only place that currently has my permission to use this piece is Wolf Creek.

I think you could still go much much darker, but I understand it's scary to lose all those pretty colors. =3

I might just if time allows. Yes, I am scared of going darker, if it was colored pencil I'd be laying it on thick and I know that.

Payne's grey and Crimson like Peggy said right?
